Great communication, on time. Would ask again.
Step by step
Post your task
Tell people what you need. A good post includes:
- A short title and a clear description
- The category and where the task is
- One or more dates and times that work for you
- What you'd like to pay
- Any skills that would help
Choose who helps
People nearby apply or send you an offer with a different price. Look at their profile, reviews and skills, ask questions in the chat, and accept the offer that suits you. You can also decline or suggest another price.
Confirm it's done
When the job is finished, your helper asks you to confirm. Check everything's as agreed, confirm, and the payment goes through securely in the app.
Leave a review
Rate your helper and say what went well. Reviews help good helpers stand out and help the next person decide.
Set up your profile
Add a photo, a few lines about yourself and the skills you have. A complete profile makes people more likely to pick you.
Find tasks nearby
Browse tasks around you and filter by distance, category, date and price. Save the ones you like, and Tinkr will start suggesting tasks that match what you do.
Apply or make an offer
Happy with the price? Apply. Think the job needs more? Send an offer with your price and a short explanation. Once the poster accepts, the task is yours.
Finish and get paid
Do the job, then ask the poster to confirm it's done. Once they confirm, you're paid the amount you agreed on minus Tinkr's 3% commission (0% while you're a Founding Tasker), and you can review each other.
What it costs
No subscriptions and no hidden cuts. Here's who pays what.
If you're helping
Tinkr keeps 3% of the price you agree on, deducted from your payout. Founding Taskers (sign up before 1 June 2027) pay 0% on their first €500 of earnings or for 90 days from signup, whichever comes first, then 3% automatically.
If you're posting
You pay the agreed price plus a 12% Connection & Support fee (at least €2.50), which is how Tinkr keeps running. The fee is non-refundable, and you'll always see the full amount before you pay. Payments are handled securely by Stripe.
Staying safe
Chat in the app
Ask questions and agree on details without sharing your phone number or email.
Reviews on both sides
Helpers and posters review each other after every task, so you can see how someone has worked with others.
Secure payments
The poster pays in the app (iDEAL | Wero or card). Stripe holds the money until the poster confirms the task is done. No cash handovers needed.
If something goes wrong, try talking it through in the chat first. If you can't sort it out, use "Report an issue" on the task within 48 hours of the helper marking it done. That holds the payment until our support team has looked into it. You can also reach us at help@tinkr.care.
Questions people ask
Do I have to be a student to help?
No. Many helpers are students, but anyone looking for flexible work is welcome, whether you're between jobs, working part-time or retired and enjoy being useful.
Can I post tasks and help out too?
Yes. Every account can do both: post your own tasks and help with other people's.
How do I know what price to set?
Think about how long the job takes and whether it needs tools or strength. If your price is too low, helpers can send you an offer, so you'll quickly get a sense of what's fair.
What kinds of tasks can I post?
Small, everyday jobs that don't need a licensed professional: moving and carrying, cleaning, errands, furniture assembly, tech help, gardening, pet care, small repairs, tutoring and more. Anything illegal or unsafe isn't allowed. See our Terms of Service for the full list.
When does the helper get paid?
When the poster confirms the task is finished, or automatically 48 hours after the helper marks it done if nobody reports an issue. The money then waits in the helper's payout account, ready to withdraw to their bank from €20.
What if the plans change?
Let the other person know in the chat as early as you can. Most changes, like a new time, can be agreed on there.
