What can you get help with?
Tinkr connects people who need a hand with neighbours who have the time and skills to help. A few examples:
- Mounting & installation
A TV on the wall, shelves, curtain rails or a mirror.
- Furniture assembly
That flat-pack wardrobe, bed or desk, put together properly.
- Moving & lifting
An extra pair of hands to carry boxes or a sofa up the stairs.

How Tinkr works

People nearby apply. Look at their profile, reviews and work photos, chat, and pick who you like.
- 3Pay safely
You pay when you accept someone. The money is held until the task is done, and you confirm when you are happy.

Create your profile, add your skills and set up payouts with a quick ID check.
- 2Find tasks near you
Browse tasks in your area or get an alert when a new one is posted that fits you.
- 3Get paid
Do the task and request completion. Your earnings are released when the poster confirms, or automatically after 48 hours.
Safety comes first
You’re letting someone into your home, or going to a stranger’s. That only works with trust, so Tinkr checks who everyone is, protects your money and keeps your details private, from the first message to the last review.
Real people, real names
Nobody can pretend to be someone else: everyone verifies once with their ID and a quick selfie. You always know who you’re dealing with, and so do we, so everyone is safe, whether you post a task or do one.
Checked to work here
Everyone who does tasks is 18 or over, and has shown they are allowed to work in the Netherlands before their first application.
Your money is protected
You pay through Tinkr when you accept someone, and Stripe holds the money until the task is done. If something goes wrong, it stays held until it’s sorted out.
Your address stays private
Others only see the neighbourhood of a task; the exact address goes only to the person you accept. On your profile, people see your first name and the first letter of your surname.
Chat without sharing your number
Ask questions, agree on the details and send offers in the app’s chat, without giving out your phone number or email address.
Honest reviews
Reviews come only from real, completed tasks, and both sides review each other, so you can see who you are dealing with before you say yes.
Real people in support
Report a person, a task or a review in a few taps. Our support team reads every report and steps in when there is a problem with a task.
No second chances for bad actors
You can block anyone. People who break the rules are restricted or removed, and someone who is banned can’t come back with a new account using the same ID.
Your ID is in safe hands
Verifying takes a couple of minutes on your phone and is done by Stripe, the payment company trusted by millions of businesses worldwide.
- Tinkr never sees your selfie.
- Other users never see your ID.
- On your profile, people see only your first name and the first letter of your surname.
Questions
- Where is Tinkr available?
- During the beta, Tinkr is only available in the Netherlands. Task Posters and Task Takers need an address in the Netherlands.
- Who can do tasks on Tinkr?
- Anyone aged 18 or over who verifies their identity and is allowed to work in the Netherlands. Task Takers work for themselves, as independent helpers, not as Tinkr employees.
- What if something goes wrong?
- Talk to the other person first. If that doesn’t solve it, report an issue on the task: the payment stays held while you agree on a solution, and Tinkr Support can step in to decide.
